Swansea City sign Sam Surridge on season long loan.
The rise of Sam Surridge has been nothing short of incredible.
Just 3 years ago our AFC Bournemouth striker was plying his trade on-loan in the Southern Premier League with fellow south coast club Weymouth. Fast forward those 3 years, Sam has enjoyed two successful loans at Yeovil and Oldham, made his Premier League debut and scored his first Cherries goal!
It was his loan at Oldham Athletic last season which firmly put Sam on the radar of clubs up and down the country. A return of 12 goals in 21 games for the Latics prompted Eddie Howe to recall Sam in January and utilise his skill set as Bournemouth secured another season in the Premier League.
Sam reels away in delight after scoring yet another goal for Oldham Athletic Football Club.
An impressive performance away at Arsenal brought more plaudits to the 21-year-old, coupled with an impressive pre-season where Sam picked up his first goal in Red & Black, meant that there were plenty of suitors for Sam’s services this season.
It was Steve Cooper’s Swansea City who have secured Sam’s signature. A progressive, ball playing football side who believe in Youth…the perfect fit for our Sam. He will wear the number 19 shirt for his new club.
Congratulations Sam, enjoy your time in South Wales. We all know you will be exceptional.
