Sammy Ameobi Completes move to Nottingham Forest

Congratulations to our man Sammy Ameobi on completing his move to Championship giants Nottingham Forest today. Sammy has signed a 1-year deal at the City Ground.

The 27-year-old winger had recently left Bolton Wanderers after agreeing to cut short his contract, he made 81 appearances for Bolton including his loan spell from Newcastle United.

On exiting the the club Sammy was understandably disappointed saying “Bolton are a club I owe a lot to. I had started to take football for granted. They gave me a second chance. I’ll always respect that.

“I am grateful to the club, grateful to the manager, grateful to the players who played with me, and especially the fans.

Joining Forest is proof furthermore of Sammy’s undoubted potential. Forest, a club steeped in history, are now going in the right direction under the stewardship of former player Martin O’Neil.

With a revamp of the City Ground on the cards, it really feels like Sammy has joined the club at the perfect time. He had this to say…

“I’m delighted, obviously I know how big a club this is with a lot of heritage. I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates an the coaching staff.”

On his aims for the season ahead – “I’m looking to create goals, score goals and excite the fans.”

Congratulations from us all Sammy, fantastic move for you…go and be exceptional.
