Terriers swoop for Reece Brown
Reece Brown has completed his move from League Two Forest Green to Championship new boys Huddersfield Town.
Our 22-year-old midfield ace has put pen to paper on a 3-year-deal at the John Smith’s Stadium.
It’s been quite the journey back into the Championship for Brown. A product of the Birmingham City Academy, Reece was tipped for the top at a very young age and made his debut for the Blues at just 17 in a 3-0 defeat to Burnley. He then made his first start at home against Yeovil Town, earning the MOTM thanks to an impressive display.
First team chances then became difficult to come by so Reece was sent on loan to Notts County and Chesterfield. Both loans proved difficult and eventually he was released by Birmingham.
In the summer of 2017, he signed a 1-year deal at Forest Green and he hasn’t looked back since.
This season has seen Reece get back to playing the kind of football we always knew he could play, scoring 11 goals and providing 15 assists…what a return!
Those stats came to the attention of numerous clubs up and down the country, but it was Huddersfield who were first to show their hand and they duly got their new man!
Congratulations Reece, a great move for you and one we know you’ll excel at. Go Be Exceptional.
