Pennington completes loan move to Hull City

Congratulations to our Everton defender Matthew Pennington who has completed a deadline day move to Hull City, signing on loan for the season.

After completing previous loans with the likes of Leeds United and 30 appearances for Ipswich Town last season, Pennington has valuable Championship experience heading into the 19/20 Season.

Matthew has been on Everton’s books since the age of 11, making his senior debut for the Toffees in a League Cup victory over Barnsley in 2015. He has also made seven Premier League appearances and achieved the dream of many an Evertonian when scoring against Liverpool at Anfield in 2017.

Speaking after joining the Tigers, Pennington said: “I’m really pleased to be here and I’m feeling fit and ready to go.

“As soon as I became aware of the interest in me from Hull City I was straight onto it. I was looking to get back out on loan and was ready to come back into the Championship so I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”

Matt will be joining fellow KeySports client Kevin Stewart with The Tigers at KCOM Stadium.

Congratulations Matt and good luck with your move. Be Exceptional.
