Andy King signs on loan to the Terriers

Congratulations to our Leicester City legend Andy King on completing a loan move to Huddersfield Town today, a move that will last until the end of the season.

After moving to Glasgow’s Rangers for the first half of the season, Andy was presented with limited playing time.

Still only 31, Andy has a lot to give and is looking to get back on the pitch to help push Huddersfield Town back up the Championship table.

His undoubted leadership skills and experience will be something Danny Cowley will be looking forward to having both on the pitch and in the dressing room.

Crowley said “I’d like to begin by giving our thanks to Brendan Rodgers and Jon Rudkin at Leicester City for making Andy’s loan possible. They’ve gone out of their way to help a player who has done brilliantly for them, which says a lot both about their Club and the player.

“There’s a real alignment with what we’re striving to do and Andy’s goals for the rest of the season. We’re fighting to maintain our position in the league and Andy is incredibly determined to do well, as he’s out of contract soon and fighting to make the Wales squad for the upcoming European Championships.

“He’s a versatile, goal scoring midfielder who can play in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, which is important to us too.

“Andy arrives here with great experience, and very importantly from a winning culture. Everyone you speak to in football about Andy has only the very best to say about him as a character. It was important that we brought some senior players here who can help drive the standards for our group. We have some talented younger footballers here who will benefit hugely from the substance that the senior players will bring.”

Congratulations on your loan move Andy, all at KeySports wish you the best.
