Zak Vyner joins Rotherham United on Loan

Zak Vyner has joined Rotherham United on a season long loan from Bristol City.

The 21-year-old defender arrives in time to link up with Paul Warne’s side as they return to training this morning after their summer break.

Vyner progressed through the youth ranks at Ashton Gate before making his senior debut for the Robins in 2016. He enjoyed a loan switch to Accrington Stanley in the 2016/17 season as he attempted to further his footballing education, returning to his parent club in January of the same season.

Zak will be looking to recreate the form he showed whilst on loan at Plymouth Argyle last season in another temporary switch. He made 17 appearances for the Pilgrims becoming a key component in their rearguard as they made a late push for the Sky Bet League One Play-offs, picking up the club’s Young Player of the Year award for his contribution.

Good luck Zak, we’ll know you’ll be a success…Be Exceptional.
