Jamie Vardy's V9 Academy gears up for Season 2.

The V9 Academy is the brainchild of our very own Jamie Vardy and John Morris. Their aim is to discover non-league talent and promote them to the professional game while providing them with a unique educational experience into what it takes to play at the top level.

The Academy will hold its next intake of players between June 4th – 8th, at the City Football Academy, the training complex of Manchester City FC located on the Etihad Campus. The academy will host 42 successful applicants who will be split into 3 teams of 14 players for a 5-day residential programme.

There have been many success stories that emerged from V9 2017. Many players moved up at least one step from the previous season, with some turning professional with National League teams. The ultimate aim was for four V9 players to get professional deals with football league clubs and at the time of writing we are proud to say that five of our graduates were offered deals.

Graduates include, Mickel Miller (Hamilton Academical), Danny Newton (Stevenage), Alex Penney (Peterborough United) and Blair Turgott (Stevenage).
