Blackburn make Ben Brereton's loan permanent.
Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest have today agreed to the permanent transfer of Ben Brereton for £6m. Ben had initially joined Rovers on a six month loan in the summer and now the Ewood Park club have chosen to take up the option to buy the England U20 striker.
Our man has played an important role in the early part of the season, featuring 16 times for Tony Mowbray’s side and he has clearly impressed the manager in those games for the club to take up the option to buy.
Having gained promotion back into Englands 2nd tier, Rovers are now looking to kick on and get back into the Premier League. They clearly see Ben as an integral part of that journey having offered him a 3.5 year deal, one which Ben was more than happy to sign.
Congratulations Ben, we’re delighted for you and can’t wait to watch your career develop at Blackburn.
